The Chojun Miyagi Society
The Chojun Miyagi Society is an honor society of the World Gojuryu Karate Alliance, our hall of fame. Membership is awarded based on the inductees contributions to the art of Gojuryu Karate-do and unlike other hall of fame’s induction will not cost the inductee any money.
Inducted Members
The Chojun Miyagi Society was established by the first president of the WGKA (Steven Berkowitz). Due to his untimely passing and Covid, the inductions he planned to make did not see fruition. He left behind a list of people that he had approved for induction. With Mike Jones Hanshi being appointed 4th president he commissioned the executive board to rectify those previous awards and then nominations were made and accepted to induct new members to the society.
